Our Community Connections programs for children, teenagers and adults – run at our centres and out in the community – are designed to help you achieve your goals alongside people who share your interests.
Job Skills, part of Community Connections, builds real pathways for people with disability to find paid employment.
We know that it can be a struggle for people to get their foot in the door and find work. With recent figures showing working-age people with disability are twice as likely as those without disability to be unemployed. Insufficient work experience is one of the most common reasons people with disability have difficulty finding employment (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, 2020).
That’s why we created the Job Skills programs. These programs are for young people transitioning from school who are interested in work experience or further education, or for anyone aged over 18 who would like to explore opportunities for work or volunteering.
